[Alexandros] revealed their new music video of “Famous Day”, a lead track from their new album “ALXD” set for June 17th release worldwide.

Songwriter Yoohei Kawakami (Vo. /G) talks about “Famous Day” as “Everyone has their important days. When this track was made at the very end of the album production, I felt like today was the day. That’s why I named it “Famous Day”. Listen to this track when you are having a big day, and it will be your best day.”

To express the dynamics of emotions, as one stumble through their way to reach for the best moment and best place to shine, the video was shot in dark warehouse where floor was watered. Dark and cold warehouse was used to express uncertainty and instability, and water and synchronized light beam were used to express mixed state of gentleness and intensity.

It is a special warehouse in Ibaraki usually used for airsoft and the shooting took approximately 14 hours.


Album artwork is also revealed, and it was shot in a diving pool .Dressed [Alexandros] members dove into the 4 meter pool which was lighted with various films. Those pictures were layered into one cover art which ended up looking like a piece of modern art.


[Alexandros] also announced the detail of bonus DVD for limited edition.

This DVD includes live footages from “This Summer Festival 2014” which was held in Dec. 2014.

On sub voice, members tell a story behind the show as they watch the footage.

Visual self-liner notes are included as well. [Alexandros] members sat down and shared their insights on all 14 tracks from “ALXD”. Total duration of the bonus content is 71 minutes.

Officially in action since 2007.

[Alexandros] has released 4 albums to date and following those releases, all album tours have been completely SOLD OUT.

Even as an indie band, they have already scored top 10 single and album on Japanese Oricon chart.

The band has supported various big names from abroad such as MUSE, Primal Scream, KASABIAN, etc. on their Japan tours.

They are actively performing abroad by participating in big international festivals like SXSW in the US and THE GREAT ESCAPE in the UK as well as booking headlining shows in Taiwan. Their field has always been beyond Japan.

In their homeland of Japan, [Alexandros] held a headlining show at prestigious Nippon Budokan on March 28th, 2014.The tickets were SOLD OUT immediately after they went on sale.

They have also done headlining slots at various festivals around Japan.

With their new partnership deal with Universal Music, [Alexandros] kicks off 2015 with a release of a double A-side single “Wataridori / Dracula La” on Mar. 18th including tie-in singles for a movie and a drama. The band plans to perform show at Nippon Budokan in July is confirmed followed by a nationwide album tour in fall.
