Aquilo return with beautiful new single ‘Silhouette’. Hot off the heels of a UK tour supporting Oh Wonder, ‘Silhouette’ is a powerful affirmation of the young Lake District duo’s ability to create spellbindingly emotive worlds within their songs.
Evolving from a spacious piano ballad to a powerful crescendo across its four minutes, ‘Silhouette’ is a tour de force of stirring balladry, cinematic sonic textures and immersive dynamics.

The past few months have seen the duo of Tom Higham and Ben Fletcher achieve new milestones and continue to grow their already wide-ranging fan base with sold out headline shows across the pond in in San Francisco, LA and New York, amassing a whopping 30 million streams on Spotify, and having their recent single ‘Never Seen You Get So Low’ going on the In New Music We Trust playlist on BBC Radio 1. The Midnight EP of live recordings followed in January and provided further testament to the bands renowned live chops.
In between this busy schedule, Aquilo have been in the studio recording their debut album that’s due later this year on Island. Largely self-produced, the band has also worked with SOHN and Ólafur Arnalds, with more info to follow.
