Gentle Bones “Run Tell Daddy” Music Video Out Now

Posted 1 year ago

(8 June 2016 – Singapore) Singer/Songwriter Gentle Bones will release his brand new music video for ‘Run Tell Daddy’ today at 8pm. The video was directed by legendary local music producer, Leonard Soosay.

“We wanted to put together a music video which was simple, yet also told a story. One we felt most people wouldn’t think would sit well with an R&B track so we tried to create that juxtaposition. It tells a story of a lot of hardships women go through these days – such as domestic abuse and destructive relationships.” – Gentle Bones

About Gentle Bones:

At only 22 years of age, Joel Tan aka Gentle Bones is unstoppably making waves in the local music industry with his distinct style of music. His debut self-titled EP (released in 2014) hit #1 on Singapore’s iTunes Album Chart a day after pre-orders began, not before all his initial singles, from the likes of

“Until We Die” to “Save Me”, topped the singles charts.

2015 was filled with milestones on his musical journey. His single “Sixty Five”, which was written for the Singaporean movie “1965”, achieved #1 on iTunes Singapore within 24 hours of its release on 10 July 2015. That year also saw him performing in Malaysia; being selected to perform in London for Singapore Tourism Board’s multi-disciplinary event “Singapore – Inside Out” and garnering a nomination for Best SEA Act Wildcard Nomination for MTV EMAs 2015.

In 2016, Gentle Bones was the first Singaporean artist to win Hong Kong Asia-Pop Music Festival which had talented artists competing from these countries – Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Taiwan, China and Malaysia. The prestigious event was held in Hong Kong on 18 March.  In Feb, Gentle Bones was the only Singaporean listed on Forbes Asia “30 Under 30” (Entertainment/Sports).  2016 also sees Gentle Bones releasing his highly anticipated sophomore record “Geniuses & Thieves” on 3 June with global major record label, Universal Music Group.
